The White Globe Philosophy

When this world was formed, there were no political borders separating people. But with the development of the human societies, things have changed. This world is no longer a single entity. It is fragmented into regions called as "countries", which are further fragmented into "states". While the planet was being fragmented, human hearts too got fragmented. People in a particular country consider themselves to be different from people in any other country and within the country, "state-ism" exists.

The white globe philosophy, which is so called by the author (me), does not believe in having political borders. It considers the world to be a single entity. The white color signifies the peace, which would be a outcome of this concept. The idea is to paint the globe with white color, that is with peace and to bring all human hearts together, so that the humanitarian spirit acquires a global face. People would get together more easily and this would end all wars.

Imagine the world that we would be living in then. It would lead to exchange of ideas more freely than they are. Just as the globalization resulted in a drastic change in how everything works or even what people think, the "white globe philosophy" will have a similar kind of effect. All the human beings can together care and nurture the mother earth. The so-called "countries" would stop spending trillions of dollars in research and manufacturing of arms and ammunition. The dream of global disarmament would become a reality then. The money saved by avoiding the investment on research and manufacturing of arms and ammunition could be utilized in caring for the children of mother earth.World would thus be a better place to live.

Life is a Marathon Race

Life! It's good to be in this world and to experience the best in this world: the nature, the stars, the moon and everything. Everything in this world is beautiful. But for many people, life is all about competition and winning. It all starts when we are at school. Although gaining knowledge should be our top most priority, we are more concern over getting 1st rank in the class. Competition at school is everywhere: during the exams, during the sports events, during singing competition, etc.

In psychology, there is a concept named "classical conditioning" which is an important aspect and it can affect the behavior of a person. The psychological theory of "classical conditioning" says that if a certain response, which causes certain behavior or a response, is repeated with another response which does not cause that response, then eventually the second stimulus will also result in the same response. So, we are essentially "classical conditioning" our brains since childhood that nothing in this world is more important than winning a competition. When we grow up, we still carry forward the same attitude towards life and try to win every competition. In this process, we forget to appreciate many important things in life. We forget to appreciate the nature, family, friends and even our own life. We forget what happiness is or what it means to enjoy our life.

However, one can look at it in another way: life needs us to be have an attitude of being competitive enough to survive. The Darwin's biological model of "survival for fittest" is long cherished by all the philosophers and biologist around the globe. "Survival for fittest" model explains the evolution of life on earth. It says that only those living beings survived on the planet who were well suited for their environment. If we apply this philosophy to our "life is a marathon race" concept, we can say that only those people will achieve success in their life, who are well suited for their environment or can adapt to suit their environment. This requires us to be competitive enough throughout the life and it makes us feel the need to win every competition which we are put into. If we are competitive upto a certain point and give up after that, then we will have to make a stop in our journey of achieving the goal at that point. Life is like a long marathon race and if one needs to win it, one needs to maintain his pace right till the end.
